Meet Captain Buzz whose lofty beginnings in the French Foreign Legion were foiled when he was cast out for devouring secret messages instead of decoding them! Can you really blame him?! In search of new adventures, our Capt. Buzz was drawn to the docks and a seafaring life despite losing a wing and a claw in a spirited skirmish with a shark who mistook his surfboard for lunch!! Looking every bit the pirate—-with a peg-leg, a left hook, and a glint in his eye—-our snarky scalawag sought a schooner headed for the open sea. And don’t let the earring fool you! Proudly displaying the skull and dogbones of a rat fink rival like a badge of honor on his well-worn doublet, he set sail with his adopted mongrel sidekick Shadrach. They pillaged Puka-Puka, (formerly Dog Island!), plundered in Panama, and pirated in Pelican Island! Together they ruled the seven seas and Shadrach kept his loyal standing as long as he offered up any edible morsels to his Captain, listened intently to his tall tales, and followed his unwanted and often nonsensical advice! He knew if he didn’t he’d face off with a bad-tempered buzzard meaner than a junkyard dog!
